Fiber Indie eXperience (FIX)

The Knittery at Herman Hills Farm is a member of the Fiber Indie eXperience (FIX)

What is the Fiber Indie eXperience?

Fiber Indie eXperience (F.I.X.) is a group for co-op members (indie artists) and fans (customers) of their handmade products.

Fiber Indie eXperience is a cooperative of indie artists who work together for the benefit of the whole by helping, encouraging, and promoting each other. We don’t see ourselves as “competitors in business” but as friends of a like mind with a passion for fiber.

Each member has a small business in which they sell their fiber and fiber related handcrafted items concentrating on quality rather than quantity. When you shop with a F.I.X. member you can be sure of receiving a beautifully handcrafted item and all our members genuine appreciation for supporting a fellow co-op member.

The following is the definition of indie design from the Wikipedia:

The indie design movement is made up of independent designers, artists and craftspeople who design and make a wide array of products without being part of large, industrialized businesses.

They are supported by a growing number of indie shoppers who are seeking niche and often handmade products as opposed to those mass-produced by corporations.

Indie designers often sell their items directly to buyers by way of their own online shops and online marketplaces.

The indie design movement can be seen as being an aspect of the general indie movement.
